Here's the vocabulary we had to look up in my English class. My teacher said that these are also good SATŪ words, so check it out.

  16. efficacy: effectual
  17. lurid: sensatonal; shining with an unusual glare
  18. repugnance: offensive
  19. exhortation: arouse; appeal strongly
  20. cabalistic: clique united for intrigue; plot
  21. eldritch: strange or unearthly
  22. expatiating: speaking or writing at length
  23. behest: an athoritative command
  24. imbibes: drink; absorb
  25. adduced: to cite as an example or means of proof
  26. averred: stated to be true; affirmed
  27. appellation*: name; title
  28. vindicate: clear of suspicion

  30. emaciated: wasted away phyisicaly

  39. effervescence: bubbling up; foaming
  40. depredations: plunderings; robberies
  41. probity: complete honesty
  42. Necromancy: the art claiming to fortell the future by alleged communication with the dead
  43. indefatigable: tireless
